"leaves dancing..."
Personification is illustrated because in life, leaves cannot dance. It is with this personification that expresses the mood and tone of the specific part of this passage. Due to the fact that leaves, which are light, are dancing, also an activity involving light movement, this quote conveys the mood of stillness and peace, while the tone is revealed as silence. With the details personification brings, it can also be said that a cultural value for Afghans is peace. Throughout the novel, Hosseini did not mention a lot about technology and Afghanistan having the environment of a city, because Afghans grew up with the exsistence of mostly human voices rather than fancy technology. Therefore, it can be concluded that Hosseini uses personification to reveal the mood of the scene and in turn communicating a cultural value.

Your analysis on the words "leaves dancing" is very intricate because you extended the analysis to not just the environment in the passage, but to the universal idea of Afghanistan. Although not explicitly stated in the text that Afghanistan is peaceful, you were able to get an insight due to the comparison of the quote to the rest of the book.
